Aldie—the home of Creighton Farms—is situated close to the charming historic towns of Middleburg and Leesburg. Aldie is rich in history, with several landmarks dating back to the 19th century, including a restored grist mill that was originally built in the early 1800s. The region is characterized by rolling hills, farmland, and vineyards. The town has a quaint village atmosphere, with historic buildings, small shops, and local businesses. The surrounding rural landscape provides a picturesque setting, ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, and cycling. A short commute is all it takes to get to larger urban centers, with large-scale shopping, dining and entertainment options. Our members are incredibly philanthropic, and we are passionate about providing them opportunities to give back to the communities they love. Over the years, Southworth has raised more than $20 million in support of various community organizations and causes, many focusing on creating positive impacts for children.
The membership comes together to impact the community outside the gates, through initiatives such as Creighton Gives, a member-driven philanthropic organization which provides treasure, time and talent to local charities. It is also home to the Creighton Farms Invitational, one of a handful of elite tournaments created by Mr. and Mrs. Nicklaus to benefit the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation and other children’s health care charities.
